We are a ‘self rated’ super cool eclectic collective of trail enthusiasts who believe in making trail running as inclusive, safe and accessible to any age, fitness level or ability as we can. We are not about the accolades or the podiums, we are the back runners who take in the view and chat to strangers, we are the ones guaranteed to stop for the river swims and tidal pool splashes or listen quietly  to the wild birdcall or waterfall.

Join our beginner’s (Snail Trail) group aimed at those who are just getting moving and keen to start exploring the awesome trails we have in Cape Town, or run with our intermediate Wolf Pack, a great bunch of like minded humans running the forests, greenbelts, vineyards and mountains of Cape Town.

For those enjoying a more leisurely pace we also have our #WalkingWild trail walkers who enjoy a brisk power walk on the many trails we usually run.

The great wide wonderful world belongs to us all, and there is nothing stopping you from taking the first steps towards experiencing all the sunrises, waterfalls, mountain tops and breathtaking views yourself.

BEGINNERS PROGRAM

MON, THUR 08H00
ALT. SUNDAYS ADVENTURE RUNS

 This is an 8 week program which introduces beginner runners to our trails , we start with a 1min walk and 2min run, gradually increasing the run portion.

It is a very social, slow pace. After the 8 weeks you should be able to comfortably do a gentle paced 10km trail and have made some fabulous new friends along the way.

Is this the group for you?
Before you start, you should be able to run 1min/walk 1min for at least 45min. This will ensure you are able to keep up with our week 1.

If you are a runner, have previously run more than 5km, then this is not the group for you, you would be much better suited to our Wolf Pack group.

ALT. SUNDAYS ADVENTURE RUNS

Our intermediate wolf pack runners have all graduated from their 10km trail program and hit the trails two mornings a week as well as longer runs on alternate Sundays.

Our week day runs are between 6-9km. (We run for an hour)
2 pace groups

 Join us for epic all inclusive overnight trail retreats. Custom packages and itineraries built to each groups capabilities and preferences.

Running Wild also caters for guided trail runs for special occasions/ birthdays.
